Change Management Consultant


Rockwood Company is a fast-growing management consulting firm that helps government and corporate organizations solve their most complex problems. Our Change Management Consultants work on a diverse portfolio of engagements, developing strategies to help clients achieve their missions more effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client engagement/s projects and manage project lanes and/or small project to completion

  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data (through research, interviews, observation, etc.) to capture the current state of the client mission and best practice alternatives for a future state

  • Surface and document key insights from client interactions and data collection and propose recommendations for organizational improvement

  • Write professional and logical strategy documents outlining material gathered during research and stakeholder engagements

  • Support colleagues during and sometimes lead interviews and other stakeholder engagement activities

  • Manage time tracking, task planning, and status reporting

  • Contribute to proposal development (as writer, editor, formatter, etc.)

  • Build relationships while working face-to-face with clients to dissect and solve problems and bring leads to Rockwood

  • Contribute to the design and development of high-profile client deliverables, applying basic consulting frameworks

  • Develop and sometimes present client deliverables (may include writing, editing, formatting, enhancing with graphical or technical software)

  • Facilitate and manage client meetings and synthesize the outputs of those interactions to successfully achieve desired outcomes

  • Support the design of project approaches and client strategy sessions

  • Coordinate event logistics and knowledge capture activities for external/internal meetings

  • Support internal Rockwood activities (e.g., social media, training class development, marketing materials, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree is a plus

  • 3 – 10 years of relevant work experience; at least 2 years directly in management consulting

  • Active listening skills and ability to facilitate discussions and extract insights in the moment

  • Ability to collaboratively brainstorm with team members and work independently to bring tasks to completion

  • Quick processing speed and ability to synthesize the outputs of stakeholder interactions into concise notes

  • Ability to organize information into a well written and compelling document

  • Strong analytical and critical thinker with an innate ability to proactively and creatively problem-solve

  • Proficiency in word processing, Excel, presentation creation tools, and internet research tools

  • Willingness to travel to client locations in and around DC Metro area; occasional travel outside of DC area/out-of-state required at times

  • Active Top Secret (TS-SCI) clearance is highly preferred; will consider lower clearance levels and uncleared candidates if they can obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
